WHAT: Townhome Fire

WHERE: 14700 block of Perthshire Rd. 77079
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $140 thousand in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $20 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find light smoke coming from a 2-story townhome. Crews found and extinguished a fire in the attic. A primary search was completed on the main unit and nearby homes. Salvage and overhaul was completed and the power was isolated to the affected unit. The cause was determined to be electrical at the heating unit. The American Red Cross was requested to assist the resident. Firefighters from Stations 78, 83, 75, 86 and 90 responded to this incident.
