CAUSE: Unintentional (unspecified electrical short).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a 2-story townhome and forced entry to find a fire in the kitchen area. They extinguished the fire and checked for extension. The fire was contained to the kitchen area. A primary search was completed with no one found. 34 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 78, 83, 57, 75 and 86.
