CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof of a 1-story restaurant. Crews gained entry and extinguished a grease fire contained under a vent hood. They checked for extension and finished extinguishing the fire in the vent duct work. The Health Department was notified, and the manager was advised of the actions taken. Firefighters from Stations 70, 71, 93, 94 and 24 responded to this incident.
