WHAT: Residential Fire.

INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $26,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (electrical failure, malfunction, other).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the eaves of a 1-story residence with three apartments. They made an offensive attack and ventilated the structure. A primary search was completed, and the utilities were secured. Insulation and wring in the attic had caught fire above a unit and crews fully extinguished it. The owner was advised to have an electrician evaluate the wiring prior to turning the power back on. CenterPoint was notified and firefighters conducted salvage and overhaul with the damage primarily contained to the one unit with water damage to a neighboring unit. Crews from Stations 64, 102, 56, 63 104, 101 and 30 responded to this incident.
