WHAT: Apartment Fire.
WHEN: November 13, 2022 at 10:37 p.m.
WHERE: 855 Greens Rd. 77060.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $35,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes to find smoke coming from a second-floor apartment unit. They forced entry and made an offensive attack. A primary search was conducted of the adjacent apartments and the utilities were secured. Four deceased cats were found in the unit on fire. The crews extinguished the fire and contained it to the unit of origin with some water damage to the unit below. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. HPD was notified to secure the scene. Firefighters from Stations 31, 64, 58, 67, 74, 84, 30 and the Aldine Fire and Rescue Department responded to this incident.
