Person of Interest Sought in Fatal Shooting at 1000 Gray Street

Houston police homicide detectives have released a surveillance photo of a person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of three other men at 1000 Gray Street about 5:55 p.m. on Monday (April 17).

The surveillance photo of the male wanted for questioning is attached to this news release.  He is described as a black male wearing a red bandana on his head, a white hooded Aeropostale sweatshirt, dark colored pants and white sneakers.

The identity of the deceased male, 62, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  The three other victims were transported to area hospitals and are expected to survive their injuries.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Brooks and J. Gardner reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and discovered one male with multiple gunshot wounds and three other men also shot.  Paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.  The three men were taken to hospitals.

The deceased male is believed to be one of two shooters in the incident.

Following interviews with witnesses and evidence gathered at the scene, detectives are seeking to question the male person of interest.  He is not charged at this time.
