Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2500 Genoa Red Bluff Road

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 2500 Genoa Red Bluff Road about 3:20 p.m. on Monday (April 17).

The identity of the deceased male, 19,  is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. James and Officer D. Ortega reported:

The deceased male was riding a black Yahama motorcycle westbound while the driver of a brown Freightliner Cascada (18-wheeler) was traveling eastbound at the above address. The 18-wheeler was making a left turn going onto a private driveway when the motorcycle struck its trailer’s tire and side railing. The male motorcyclist was ejected.

Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake where doctors later pronounced him deceased.

The driver of the 18-wheeler remained at the scene and did not show signs of intoxication.  He was questioned and released.The investigation is continuing.
