DAMAGE: $50,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (currently, appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find smoke coming from a mechanic shop in a metal building. They extinguished a small fire in a storage area under a carport and requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause. 40 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including crews from Stations 26, 23, 29, 36, 70 and the South Houston Fire Department.
