WHAT: Commercial structure fire.
WHEN: September 13, 2023, at 1:08 a.m.
WHERE: 7824 Eastex Freeway, 77093.

DAMAGE: $100,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find an abandoned commercial structure heavily involved on fire and made a defensive attack. Once the fire was under control, they made entry to fully extinguish it. The structure had extensive damage from previous fire or fires. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 32 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including crews from Stations 15, 34, 30 and 39.
