HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Perez and J. Escobar reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a call regarding a natural death at a hotel at the above address. Officers arrived and met with Houston Fire Department paramedics and a female witness. The female stated she arrived at the hotel with food for the man and knocked on the door. The man did not answer, however, she could hear him asking “who is it” each time she knocked. After the man stopped responding to her, the female went to the manager’s office, obtained a keycard and returned to the room.
As the female entered the room, she found the man unresponsive and lying on the floor. The female then called 9-1-1. HFD responded to the scene and pronounced the man deceased.
The investigation is pending the man’s cause of death, to be determined by an autopsy.
Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600.
