Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 3200 South Loop West

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3200 South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West) service road about 9 p.m. on Thursday (April 20).  

The identity of the victim, 32, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of  Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives H. Martinez and S. Chettry reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the intersection of South Main Street and the South Loop West service road and found a vehicle stopped in the intersection.  The vehicle had several bullet holes in the driver’s side door.  The victim was found unresponsive in the driver’s seat.  He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

A preliminary investigation determined a witness heard gunshots and then saw a black sedan leaving the scene at a high rate of speed.

At this time, there is no known suspect(s).
