Houston police are investigating the shooting of one male and the stabbing of another at 4855 West Fuqua that occurred about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday (December 25).
Roderick Anderson, 32, suffered a gunshot wound and Jesse Anderson, 43, suffered a stab wound. Both men were transported to an area hospital.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers L. Bolmanski and M. Althaus reported:
The victims were at a holiday party when a non-family member became intoxicated, fell over and was asked to leave. The male left the party, but returned a short time later with a group of his family members. A fight broke out between the two groups and two suspects pulled out weapons. One suspect drew a knife, while the second male pulled out a gun. Mssrs. Anderson were both and are currently in critical condition, but expected to survive.
The suspects are known and the investigation is continuing.
