Suspect Wanted for Questioning in Fatal Shooting at 14802 Buxley Street

Houston police are seeking the public’s help in locating a male wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 14802 Buxley Street about 1:10 p.m on Tuesday (December 24).

The male, Cedric Gee Mosley (b/m, 49), is charged with felon in possession of a weapon in the 248th State District Court.  A previous booking photo (June 2019) of Mosley is attached to this news release.  He is not in custody.

The victim, Derrick Fields, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Murdock and Detective T. Jackson reported:

About 12:30 p.m., Mr. Fields and Mosley were involved in an altercation at the above address.  Fields was wielding a metal pipe when Mosley produced a firearm and shot Fields multiple times.

Mosley then fled the scene on a black Honda VTX motorcycle.  He is wanted for questioning in this incident, however is not currently charged in Fields’ death.
