Houston police have learned a man critically injured in a crash in the 10500 block of Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday (October 23) has died from his injuries.
The identity of the victim, 50, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Clear Lake Patrol Division Officer B. Bullin reported:
The male was operating a blue Suzuki motorcycle northbound at the above address. The male accelerated quickly in an attempt to switch lanes when he lost control and crashed, flipping the motorcycle twice. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male to an area hospital in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him deceased on Monday (October 24).
The investigation is ongoing.
