Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 9550 Long Point Drive about 9:55 p.m. on September 25.
The victim is identified as Erik Benitez Aguilar, 32.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Garcia and Officer C. Brothers reported:
The driver of a black Chevrolet Silverado was returning home when he began to experience mechanical issues. The driver notified his brother who offered to assist. While Mr. Aguilar was under the vehicle, the truck unexpectedly rolled back, pinning him under the vehicle.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is ongoing.
