| Houston police are investigating the assault of an elderly man at 3033 Elgin Street about 3:40 p.m. today (Feb. 18).
The victim, Barry Caldwell, 65, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer M. Althaus reported:
Mr. Caldwell and an unknown male suspect were arguing outside the gas station at the above address when the suspect punched Caldwell, causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head on the concrete. The suspect fled the scene. Paramedics transported Caldwell to the hospital.
