WHAT: House Fire
WHEN: December 11, 2021 at 4:42 a.m.
WHERE: 6300 block of Hamman St. 77007
INJURIES: One civilian transported to the hospital.
PROPERTY SAVED: $200 thousand in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $300 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find heavy fire coming from a 1-story house with a report of people trapped and impinging upon a nearby commercial structure. Crews conducted a primary search of the home and found and rescued one resident. HFD EMS transported the individual to the hospital. Another citizen had safely made it out of the home. Firefighters extinguished the house fire and requested additional crews to complete extinguishment of the building fire. Crews from Stations 11, 16, 15, 6, 8, 9, 62, 30, Hazmat, Heavy Rescue 11 and Rehab responded to this incident.
