WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: February 14, 2024, at 12:08 p.m.
WHERE: 4300 block of Bennington St. 77016.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $110,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $70,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (undetermined at this time).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within a minute to find fire coming from a house and entered the garage to make an attack on the fire. They ventilated the home and conducted a primary search. The crews extinguished the fire and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the residents. 35 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 34, 15,19, 30, 39 and 43.
