WHAT: House Fire
WHEN: June 6, 2022 at 5:59 p.m.
WHERE: 100 block of Westfield, 77022
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $50,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $100,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find a 1-story house on fire as well as a vehicle and a nearby residence catching fire. There was also a downed powerline near the home. Crews made an offensive attack and extinguished the fire on the nearby home. The main fire in the attic of the house was controlled as well as the vehicle fire. The home was ventilated, and searches were completed with no one found. The utility company was notified and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Firefighters from Stations 31, 30, 34, 58, 15, 2, 23 and 12 responded to this incident.
