WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: September 12, 2023, at 6:31 p.m.
WHERE: 4000 block of Rogers St. 77022.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $106,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $130,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (currently, appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find heavy smoke coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack with heavy fire located on the back porch. They conducted a primary search and extinguished the fire. There was fire and smoke damage throughout the home. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 31 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including crews from Stations 6, 34, 9, 30, 31 and 62.
