WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: September 12, 2023, at 4:05 p.m.
WHERE: 12800 block of McNair St. 77015.
INJURIES: No injuries, one deceased dog.
PROPERTY SAVED: $200,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $50,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find smoke and fire coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. The roof was ventilated, and a primary search was completed. No one was found inside; however, crews discovered a deceased dog. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 45 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 27, 16, 20, 45, 41, 42, 53, 44, 43, 30 and Heavy Rescue 11.
