WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: January 12, 2023 at 1:56 p.m.
WHERE: 3600 block of Darden St. 77093.
INJURIES: One civilian injured and transported to the hospital.
PROPERTY SAVED: $84,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $120,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find light smoke coming from the roof of a house and a burn victim outside the front door. The patient was treated by HFD EMS and transported to the hospital for moderate injuries. Crews made an attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. The home was ventilated, and the fire was extinguished. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Firefighters from Stations 19, 34, 30, 39 and 56 responded to this incident.
