WHERE: 10300 block of Lera St. 77016.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $118,759 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $35,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from a 1-story house. They made an attack on the fire and ventilated the home. The fire was extinguished it appeared to have been caused by an electrical malfunction that caught nearby items on fire. Crews from Stations 34, 45, 32, 43, 56 and 30 responded to this incident.
