WHAT: House fire.

INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $10,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find light smoke coming from the eaves of a 1-story house. They made an offensive attack and extinguished a smoldering part of the attic. The power was turned off due to breakers being tripped and electrical lines melted and exposed in the attic. The crews completed salvage and overhaul and advised the owner to have an electrician repair and inspect the home prior to turning the power back on. Firefighters from Stations 20, 45, 23, 41, 42, 44, 30 and Rescue 42 responded to this incident.
