DAMAGE: $25,500 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find a large breaker panel that had shorted out and caught fire on the wall of an apartment. They extinguished the fire and check for extension. CenterPoint responded to the scene as well and secured the power. Firefighters from Stations 5, 38, 77, 86, 57 and the Village Fire Department responded to this incident.
