WHERE: 1000 block of W. Donovan St. 77091.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $425,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $23,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six to find smoke coming from a 1-story house and entered to find a kitchen fire. They extinguished the fire which involved the cabinetry and surrounding the vent hood into the attic. A primary search was conducted, and the smoke was removed. The utilities were secured, and CenterPoint responded. 33 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 31, 13, 58 and 67.
