WHAT: Garage Apartment Fire

INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $10 thousand in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $12 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under Investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within two minutes to find a 2-story garage apartment on fire. They ventilated the apartment and conducted a primary search. A tow truck driver had arrived and pulled dogs out of the building in their crates before HFD’s arrival. HFD Crews found and quickly extinguished a fire on the first floor. Nearby exposures were checked and ventilated. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Firefighters form Stations 23, 20, 26, 17, 18, 29, 40 and 24 responded to this incident.
