WHEN: March 14, 2024, at 11:29 p.m.
WHERE: 3900 block of Los Angeles St. 77026.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $10,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find heavy fire on the first floor and extending to the second floor of an abandoned duplex. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The fire was quickly extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 37 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 39, 15, 19, 34, 12, 27 and 30.
