WHAT: Apartment Fire.
WHEN: July 30, 2022 at 6:29 p.m.

INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $992,500 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $7,500 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes to find light smoke coming from the roof of an apartment building. They made an offensive attack on a fire in the attic and conducted a primary search. The fire was controlled, and it was found that exposed electrical issues most likely caused the fire. An electrical contractor was on location prior to HFD. He had been a called to reports of the circuit breakers tripping the in unit of origin and reported the fire to the apartment management who called 9-1-1. Crews from Stations 83, 51, 60, 69, 82, 76 and 57 responded to this incident.
