INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $265,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $20,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (heat source too close to combustable).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find a fire in the second-floor apartment unit. They controlled the fire and conducted a primary search with no one found. Food was left cooking unattended and when the residents returned, they found their apartment was on fire. Crews from Stations 4, 31, 13, 50, 67 and 30 responded to this incident.
