INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $910,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $150,000 in estimated property damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from a first-floor unit apartment window and made an offensive attack. They contained the fire to the original unit and completed a primary search. The utilities were secured, the unit was ventilated, and the fire was extinguished. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the family. 37 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 50, 4, 5, 77 and 13.
