CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find light smoke coming from a second-story apartment unit. A fire was found in the kitchen involving the stove, vent hood and cabinets. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and checked for extension. The ceiling sheetrock and cabinets were removed. A fan was used to ventilate the smoke from the unit. 30 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 21, 28, 46, 3, 37 and 24.
