WHAT: Apartment fire.
WHEN: August 18, 2023, at 4:12 a.m.
WHERE: 4801 Allendale Rd. 77017.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $20,500 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find heavy smoke and a small fire in an apartment unit. There was furniture in the unit, however, it had been unoccupied for several months. The crews extinguished the fire and checked for extension. A primary search was also completed. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause of the fire. 31 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 26, 23 and 29.
