WHAT: Apartment fire.
WHEN: April 16, 2023, at 3:26 p.m.
WHERE: 10121 Windmill Lakes Blvd. 77075.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $20,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (appears to be accidental at this time).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes to find light smoke coming from the side of an apartment building. Fire was on the second-floor side balcony and contained between the brick and the building. Crews extinguished the fire, and a primary search was completed. HFD Arson was requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 35 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 26, 70, 52, 61 and 93.
