WHAT: Apartment fire.

INJURIES: One civilian injured with minor burns.
PROPERTY SAVED: $98,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $152,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (cooking).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find fire and smoke coming from the attic of a 2-story apartment building. A resident escaped from a second-floor window and was rescued from the top of a carport. Crews made an offensive attack and extinguished the fire. A search was conducted, and the roof was ventilated. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause of the fire. 41 HFD personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 69, 2, 68, 83, 10, 51, 73, 76, 57 and Rescue 10.
