WHAT: Apartment fire.
WHEN: May 28, 2023 at 1:43 a.m.
WHERE: 3420 Francis St. 77004.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $355,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $165,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find both floors of a 2-story apartment building on fire and made an offensive attack. A primary search was conducted, and one individual was rescued from a window. Additional HFD units were requested due to a report of other victims, however no one else was found and the fire was controlled and extinguished. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 42 HFD personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 23, 8, 46, 7, 17, 18, 25, 40 and 24.
