Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male that occurred at 1520 Oliver Street about 10:05 p.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 23).
The identity of the deceased male, 25, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Hernandez, K. Aloysius and K. Heaverlo reported:
Officers responded to a report of a male with stab wounds in the parking garage of an apartment complex at the above address. Houston police officers were able to follow evidence to an apartment and heard a female in distress inside the apartment. Officers forced entry into the residence and located a female with lacerations.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Houston Fire Department personnel reported the male stated his girlfriend had cut him.
The female was transported to an area hospital where she was treated. Detectives spoke to the female, and the case remains under investigation.
