Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of one man, and the attempted assault of two other men at 3401 Blalock Road about 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 24).
Jack Ibarra, 34, is charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in 339th Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Ibarra is not available at this time.
The identity of the deceased male, 23, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Herrera, L. Brooks and A. Beiza reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and located a male suffering a gunshot wound to the chest. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
After speaking with witnesses and reviewing surveillance video, officers identified a suspect and detained him a short distance away. He was then charged for the fatal shooting of the victim and shooting at and pointing a gun at two others, who were not struck.
