Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred in the 14000 block of Main Street about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday (August 2).
The identity of the deceased male, 61, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. James and Officer F. Serna reported:
The operator of a red Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling south on Main Street at the above address when he made an abrupt lane change and struck the rear bumper of a maroon Dodge Charger. The operator of the motorcycle then struck the curb and laid the bike down in the grassy area along the feed road. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.
The driver of the Charger remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
No other persons or vehicles were involved in this crash.
