Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 12300 Bellaire Boulevard about 7:40 p.m. on Thursday (Oct. 14).
The identity of the female victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Jewell and Officer D. Jones reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was crossing the street – not in a crosswalk – at the above address when she was struck by a burgundy Honda Pilot traveling eastbound on Bellaire Boulevard. Paramedics were called and pronounced the female deceased.
The male driver, 43, remained at the scene and was questioned. He did not show signs of impairment and was subsequently released.
The investigation is continuing.
