Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 11800 Hempstead Road that occurred about 11:05 p.m. on Thursday (Oct. 14).
The identity of the female victim, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Prejean reported:
A blue Honda Accord was traveling southbound at the above address and turned left, crossed over the center line and went into oncoming traffic where it struck head-on a gray Toyota Camry traveling southbound on Hempstead. One of the passengers (victim) in the Toyota was transported to Memorial Herman – Texas Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased. Four other passengers in the Toyota were transported to area hospitals.
The female driver, 59, of the Honda was not injured. No charges have been filed at this time.
The investigation is continuing.
