Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 12600 Brookglade Circle about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday (Oct. 12).
The identity of the victim, 56, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Daignault and Detective B. Roberts reported:
The victim picked up his wife from a nearby store and brought her back to their apartment at the above address. As they walked to their apartment, two armed black male suspects approached them and demanded property. The victim was able to get away from one suspect and attempted to assist his wife, who was struggling with the other suspect. As the victim ran to help his wife, one of the suspects fired shots and struck him. Both suspects then fled in a black, four-door sedan waiting in the street. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
