Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 5900 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 11:40 a.m. today (June 12).
The male victim, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Senior Police Officer M. Tamez reported: The victim was driving a white Ford Explorer northbound at the above address when he failed to maintain a single lane and struck the curb in the esplanade. He then crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a building in the 5800 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.
