Charges have been filed against a third suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 6311 Beverly Hill Street about 6:55 p.m. on September 20, 2020.
The suspect, Cedrick Fobbs (b/m, 21), is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court.
Two other suspects, Maya Muhammad (b/f, 20) and Deerrian Caraway (b/m, 27), are also charged with murder in this case.
All three are accused in the death of Patrick Aikens, 46, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Booking photos of the three suspects are attached to this news release.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives P. Pak and C. Flora reported:
Patrol officers responded to a shooting in front of the main office at an apartment complex at the above address. Upon arrival, officers met Houston Fire Department paramedics, who had already pronounced Mr. Aikens deceased. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head and chest.
Investigators learned Aikens met with an unknown suspect, who arrived in a newer model, dark-colored Nissan Altima. Aikens and the suspect got into an altercation, which led to Aikens being shot. The suspect ran to the waiting Altima and fled the scene.
Further investigation led to the identity of Caraway as a suspect in this case and he was arrested on Jan. 4 without incident. Muhammad was identified as a suspect and, on January 26, she was arrested and subsequently charged for her role in the incident. Fobbs was identified as a third suspect and, on Monday (June 7), he was arrested and charged in this case.
