WHAT: Warehouse Fire.
WHEN: July 15, 2022 at 6:37 a.m.
WHERE: 7600 Navigation, 77012.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $15,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find smoke and fire coming from a metal warehouse. They made entry through a gate and proceeded to make an attack on the fire. Due to worsening roof conditions, the crews were ordered to exit the structure and made a defensive attack. Hazmat assessed the materials involved and once the bulk of the fire was controlled, HFD rescue insured the interior was safe for members to re-enter for an interior attack and full extinguishment. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Firefighters from Stations 23, 20, 26, 17, 18, 40, 42, 30, Rescue 42, Rehab 17 and Hazmat responded to this incident.
