WHAT: Warehouse fire.
WHEN: April 9, 2023 at 4:09 a.m.
WHERE: 5500 block of Yale at Tidwell, 77022.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $60,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within two minutes to find fire coming from a large, abandoned warehouse. They made an offensive attack and forced entry. A primary search was completed with no one found. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Crews from Stations 15, 31, 34, 58, 67 and 30 responded to this incident.
