WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: April 11, 2023 at 5:05 a.m.
WHERE: 5900 block of Pershing St. 77033.
INJURIES: One civilian transported to the hospital.
PROPERTY SAVED: $12,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $20,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find fire and heavy smoke coming from a house and made an attack. The roof was ventilated, and a primary search was completed. The fire was extinguished and HFD transported one resident with minor injuries to the hospital. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Crews from Stations 35, 23, 26, 46, 40 and 24 responded to this incident.
