WHAT: Warehouse fire.
WHEN: November 15, 2023, at 8:30 p.m.
WHERE: 10301 Aldine Westfield Rd. 77093.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $400,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $50,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (An unspecified electrical malfunction).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find smoke and fire coming from a warehouse with a tire shop. They forced entry through an iron gate and entered the structure. Crews made an attack on the fire and secured the utilities. Additional units were requested, and a wall was opened to access the fire. HFD Hazardous Materials monitored the air, using foam to fully extinguish the fire. The Houston Police Department was requested for traffic control. HFD Rehab and decontamination were established for the responding firefighters. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 50 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including crews from Stations 34, 15, 31, 12, 30, 39, 56, 58, 37, Hazmat 22 and Rehab 17.
