DAMAGE: $25,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from two classroom windows of a vacant school building. They forced entry and made an offensive attack. The crews ventilated the building, opening several boarded-up windows. The fire was quickly extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. HISD Police were also on location. 45 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 35, 23, 26, 46, 40, 55 and 24.
