WHAT: Residential carport fire.
WHEN: March 10, 2024, at 6:38 a.m.
WHERE: 3900 Law St. 77005.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $25,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $75,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find a duplex carport/garage on fire and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed of the residences and cleared. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 33 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 37, 28, 3 and 8.
